Curriculum and Instruction EDD
Minimum 24 hours
The Ed.D. is designed for student practitioners who want to develop a superior level of pedagogical competence and expertise in their professional field with an emphasis on practice, leadership, and adult training. This option provides an understanding of the contextual application of research to practice and culminates with a real-world curriculum capstone project (dissertation) and presentation. Students seeking an EdD may utilize existing context specific data to complete their dissertation. There is no expectation for students to add information to the existing body of literature in the five-chapter dissertation.
Note: The EdD does not provide the necessary coursework for students to obtain advanced certification. The EdD program is not an avenue for principal or superintendent certification.
