Academic Catalog

Second Graduate Degree

William Woods University does, under specified circumstances and conditions, admit students to study for a second Master, Specialist, or Doctoral degree. A second Master, Specialist, or Doctoral degree, in addition to other requirements, requires the possession of a completed Master/Specialist/Doctoral degree prior to admission and no less than 21 credit hours of academic work subsequent to the award of the first degree. Students who pursue two MED/EDS majors simultaneously would be considered a double major under pursuit of one degree. A double major does not constitute a double degree or a second degree.

Dual Degrees

Graduate students may pursue specific, university approved, dual graduate degree program options which are two different graduate degrees pursued and earned simultaneously.  Under this arrangement, the two degrees cannot be awarded separately or sequentially.  Upon completion of the dual degree program requirements, two separate diplomas are issued at the same time.
