Doctoral Student Continuous Enrollment
Doctoral students are required to be continuously enrolled during their doctoral degree studies until completion of all degree requirements including satisfactory completion of the dissertation unless they voluntarily withdraw from the University, they receive an approved leave of absence, or they withdraw from the program of study or University. This includes failure to enroll for a required course. Doctoral students must be enrolled in at least one credit hour per semester. This requirement applies to all students, including those in ABD status.
Doctoral students who withdraw from the university, fail to enroll each semester, or are withdrawn for nonpayment will be charged a continuous enrollment fee upon readmission. This fee will equal the cost of each course, with fees, for every semester they have not been enrolled. The tuition and fee rates in place at the time when the student seeks readmission are used to determine the continuous enrollment fee. All doctoral students are required to complete their dissertation within seven years of starting their program
