Doctoral Student Continuous Enrollment

Doctoral students are required to be continuously enrolled during their doctoral degree studies until completion of all degree requirements including satisfactory completion of the dissertation unless they voluntarily withdraw from the University, they receive an approved leave of absence, or they are withdrawn from the program of study or University. This includes failure to enroll in a required course. Education Doctorate (Ed.D.) students who withdraw from the University, fail to enroll each semester or who are withdrawn from the University for nonpayment will be charged an Ed.D. continuous enrollment fee upon readmission. This fee will equal the cost of two credit hours, with fees, for every semester they have not been enrolled. The tuition and fee rates in place when the student seek readmission are used to determine the continuous enrollment fee. All doctoral students are required to complete their dissertation within seven years of starting their program. Individual doctoral programs may require completion in less than seven years.
