BIO 206 Biology Journal Club

A biology journal club is an opportunity for students to gain practice reading academic journal articles, interpreting research findings, and evaluating experimental results. This course would also help students gain confidence in engaging with scientific content. In addition to strengthening general biological skills, it would be valuable practice for students planning to enter graduate or professional skills as “journal clubs” of this type are a standard part of many additional training programs and prior experience would help prepare our students for them. May be repeated for credit.
