IFL 140 Scientific Literacy -i

This course introduces students to the common practices of scientific research through an exploration of the nature of science, evaluation of scientific papers, and the interpretation of data. Students will also learn to recognize instances where real scientific results can be misused to create pseudoscientific claims and spin false narratives. The course will culminate with students learning to develop a scientific question, outline the research process, and evaluate each other’s work through peer review.
