Student AI Policy
The University acknowledges that Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used as a tool for teaching and learning purposes. We also acknowledge that AI can be used as a resource tool for generating information that one can subsequently act upon: for example, obtaining references, transcribing data, and gathering general information to work from. However, AI cannot be used in academically inappropriate ways. Students are prohibited from submitting work as their own which was generated by AI unless explicitly permitted by the instructor of record. When the instructor allows the use of AI tools, proper attribution is required.
Students who use AI to create content for assignments without explicit permission will be reported using the Academic Integrity Violation Report by the course instructor.
