BIO 374 Research Methods and Inferential Statistics

This course will focus on some of the major research techniques found in the wide-ranging field of biology. Particular emphasis will be placed on experimental design and best research practices. Additionally, students will get hands-on experience with inferential statistics. Students will be required to conduct multiple, varied statistical analyses on a suite of biologically relevant data sets. After completing this course, students should be able to design experimentally and ethically sound experiments as well as analyze and interpret analyses from some of the more common statistical techniques in biological research. Prerequisite: BIO114/115, BIO124/125 and MAT118
